GARAM MASALA Powder
Description
Garam masala is a spice blend widely used in Indian cuisine, from curries and lentil dishes to soups. Whole spices of cinnamon, mace, peppercorns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, and cardamon pods are toasted in a pan to release their aromatic flavors, then ground to a powder
The word masala simply means “spices,” and garam means “hot.” Thus the term garam masala literally translates to “hot spices.” However, garam masala doesn’t necessarily constitute a particularly spicy blend. Mostly garam masala includes coriander, cumin, cardamom, cloves, black pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
